Europes Geographical Potential
Although Europe is a small area but its impact on the world is huge. It is located in a large landmass that is called 'Eurasia' which stretches from Portugal and all the way to China. Europe had many useful resources in the early middle ages such a the dense forests that covered much of the north region. Also the rich black earth soil which was better suited for farming than the dry soil along the Mediteranean. Many seas surround Europe such as the norwegian sea, the north sea, the baltic sea, the Mediterranean sea, and partially the black sea and of course the atlantic ocean which is towards the north. All of those sea's are very important and are a big reason for europe's growth. The coastal people used them for fishing to get food, and others used them for trade, exploration, and even transportation. The mountain streams were used mainly for turning water wheels.
